A Bit of History

Acura was founded in 1986 and is a part of the Honda Motor Company headquartered in Minato City, Tokyo, Japan. Acura was first introduced by Honda into the US market in 1986 with the legendary Legend and iconic Integra. It was the first Japanese luxury brand to compete in the North American market but was quickly followed by Nissan's Infiniti and Toyota's Lexus after their success. The Legend was instroduced as a 151 hp 2.5l V6 sedan first and later in 1987 as a coupe.
